Spiritual Law vs. Material Law
Grand Rapids (Mich.) Herald
Perhaps the most general and often repeated criticism made against Christian Science, is its denial of the correctness of the evidence of the physical senses, and its denial that what is termed natural or material law manifests the absolute law or natural of God.
Christian Science denies that God is both good and evil, and affirms that He is good only; therefore, that the law of God is not destructive, except to His opposite, and is not manifested in pain, disease, or death; that evil does not and cannot represent or express the law of God, or even symbolize a single quality of His Being, but denies them all.
Christian Science emphatically declares that God is the only Creator of the only real universe, and is its only real law-giver.
