Many Blessings Received
The past year has been one of marked blessing, in what it has brought to me and my family, in deliverance from great anxiety in financial matters, when thought had become steadfast and trustful, on account of a pleasant material situation, and also by great growth in happiness and love in our home, which has always been known as a harmonious home even when discords and trouble seemed very real.
I have also been blessed in being able to bring health to others and to lift burdens from their lives. And what more could one rightly desire? This question I have often asked myself, for it has seemed, in some ways, that the thought-problems were more perplexing than ever before; and also, that I could neither answer nor banish them. If I sought human aid all I could grasp of the reply was, "You are in discord," or "Discord is in you." Or I might more correctly say, it seemed to me that I was in discord, while the reply was, "Discord is in you." At last I concluded it was better to fall into the hands of God than into the hands of man; to try honestly and silently to live kindly and peaceably with all mankind, and trust that God's goodness would remove, in His own way and time, the sense of discord, whether it was within or around me, or both.
My desire has been beautifully answered. Easter Sunday came to me with a garment of love. I had the pleasure of being with dear friends, and enjoyed fully the music and flowers at the church service in Kansas City; and the afternoon was given to hearing Judge Clarkson's lecture, full of strength and conviction. And best of all is the fact, that from first to last, during my little visit, not one unwelcoming thought has come to me. Everywhere, from Scientists and from friends who are not Scientists, only harmony has been manifest; and I have come back to my appointed place, more ready to know that evil does vanish under the sunlight of God.
