A Step Forward
I want to express my gratitude for the article in the Sentinel of April 19 entitled, "True Possessions." It showed me that I had allowed a dulled sense of the truths brought out in the article, to take possession of me. I was aroused to a better realization of the importance of watching my thoughts, that they be winged with love and healing, and not with doubt, impatience, anger or any of evil's dark brood. We need to remind ourselves often of the words of Jesus which our Leader has so wisely caused to be placed on the first page of the Sentinel.
We are apt to fall into the way of letting our thoughts run on without examining them, forgetting that wrong thoughts even though unspoken, do harm.
I was led to examine myself, and found that instead of "Love long continued and faithful," I was impatient, with somewhat of resentment because some of my friends whom I was anxious should accept Christian Science, did not see it as the Truth. I was blinded to the fact that this would only tend to drive them further away.
