The Price of Books
I have often thought of writing what the small investment of three dollars for "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker G. Eddy, did for me.
A friend, knowing my need, brought me the book, which was then in two volumes. At first I did not gain much light, but I was told that others had been healed of all the ills that flesh is heir to, by reading the books.
I kept on reading until the Scriptures were explained in such a way, that the Truth which Jesus said should come, made me free.
That book like the Bible is priceless. I liken it unto the "Pearl of great price." I shall ever think that the author was divinely inspired; for all Truth comes through inspiration and revelation from Spirit, not from the flesh.
Those first volumes have been replaced by later editions. Their bindings are worn and their leaves yellow with age; but I would not part with them for many times the original cost.—Nancie G. Savage, Wilton, Me.
