Study of Science and Health Rewarded

The following beautiful demonstration proves that a faithful, conscientious study of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker G. Eddy, is richly rewarded, and that its practical teachings are ever at hand. The passage on page 492, line 16, came clearly and forcibly to me when I was awakened one night and asked to come to the room of a dear one who to mortal sense was suffering with a severe nervous chill. Realizing the beautiful Truth expressed in those lines, all sense of responsibility was dispelled from my thought, and after five minutes the patient grew quiet and slept peacefully.

Formerly three persons were required to hold the afflicted one. Much medicine had to be given and the patient was from three to four days getting over the effects, whereas the healing through Love, enabled God's own child to be bright and happy at the breakfast-table the next morning. How full of love and gratitude is my thought for our beloved Mother, for giving us the impersonal teacher, Science and Health, and may I ever be found willing to obey all its directions.
