Healed of Appendicitis
About a year and a half ago while suffering from appendicitis and being under the care of two M. D's., who were administering seven or eight kinds of medicine and giving me nothing to subsist on but milk, and that being mixed with lime-water, I was seemingly brought very low. The M. D's. informed my parents that I could only live a short time and in order to prolong (?) my life it would be necessary to apply hot plates, hot sand-bags, liquor and other material remedies too numerous to mention.
At this time we were advised by a neighbor to try Christian Science but, as there were no Scientists in town we did not obtain aid until two days later, when a friend, who is a Christian Scientist, arrived in town. She at once took my case. I soon discarded all medicine and put my life into the hands of Him who gave it.
I never shall forget the change in the mental atmosphere when that dear follower of Jesus entered my room.
