The True Spirit

We like very much the spirit and tone of the following extract from a letter recently received by us from an earnest and active Christian Scientist, and venture to express the hope that a similar spirit will enter into the articles and contributions of all who write for our periodicals, for it is the truly Christian Science point of view.

"I hope that whenever you receive anything from me you will understand always that it is sent for whatever disposition you deem best to make of it, and that, so far as I am individually concerned, it is wholly immaterial to me whether it is used or not.

"My sole desire is to help lead our friends out of the woods. As I expressed it in a letter to a business acquaintance of mine in Chicago the other day, who wrote me of his ailments, that I should feel it my duty, if I found him wandering around in a dense woods, lost, to lead him out, especially if I were familiar with the blazing of the trees, and therefore capable of rendering him that assistance, and it was exactly under those conditions that I wrote to him concerning the way out of his physical disabilities through the teaching of Christian Science."
