In the Christian Science Bible Lesson

God was taking care of me, no matter what.
I had refused to give fear a foothold in my thinking, and that helped purify the mental environment.

Can evil spread?

When the news media is pouring forth depictions of conflict at all levels of our interconnected societies, there is the need for prayer—the acknowledgment and conviction of the omnipresence and power of God’s goodness, love, and constant care and protection.
Camp was supposed to be the happiest place on earth. But when this teen got hit with Covid, she discovered that part of finding healing was about feeling more of God’s love—and the happiness that comes from it, no matter what the circumstances.
I was like a sponge, soaking up as much as I could about this entirely spiritual view of existence.
I felt so comforted knowing that so long as I kept my focus on what God was doing, I would see that I was totally cared for.

Giving up the gossip habit

The real fruit of my prayers came when I started a summer job, and I quickly realized gossip was rampant in the workplace.
I began to wonder if matter was really what I always had thought it was. One moment, I felt the pain of a broken body. The next moment, I was healed and felt only the love of God.

Let go of the pencil

I was willing, without reservation, to accept whatever good God had in store for me. I had finally let go of my own version of that shiny yellow pencil.

Breaking the mesmerism

Even if we ignore or misunderstand our relation to God, He is still our loving Parent. Nothing can truly change or disrupt our inheritance of oneness with Him.
