In the Christian Science Bible Lesson

Can feeling God’s presence really change how we experience difficult or demanding situations? This author was hiking a mountain, worried about the trek. When he reached out to God in prayer, his perspective changed—and so did the experience.
By not focusing so much on the image we think others have of us and focusing instead on all the ways we’re reflecting God, we can shift from human perfectionism to living Christlike perfection.

Healing trauma

Regardless of the tragic circumstances any of us may have endured, the spiritual perspective of reality gained through prayer is a promise of hope and healing for everyone.

Protests of Truth

Every mistaken concept dissolves as man’s unity with God is steadfastly affirmed with clear conviction, whether this involves political or religious issues, individual experience, or health.

When peace dawned

Over a period of weeks, an expectation of good began to replace anxiety and self-condemnation.
We can all be free of the repetitive, worried thoughts that keep us in a loop of discord.
I realized that my physical home wasn’t the only place I could be happy and helpful. No matter where I was, I could find all the qualities of home because they are spiritual and come from God.
God gives us good thoughts that help us when we feel scared.

God meets our needs

I see that my search for Truth as a young man led me to discover signs that Life is Spirit, and from there to find Christian Science.
Opportunities came for sharing Christian Science with others, as a church member who is open to interacting with people in the larger community. For instance, a memory care facility asked local churches if anyone would be willing to volunteer to conduct Sunday services for their residents.

You are irreplaceable

What is most needed today is this deeper understanding of God’s invariable love and the fact that God’s plan of universal salvation includes every individual, and that nothing can replace His ideas or displace their harmonious arrangement.
Thought by thought, we move through each day. If we are watchful, the power of God’s boundless goodness can override each lie about us.
