In the Christian Science Bible Lesson

I started my prayer again, and this time I thanked God for everything He has given me. 

What are you waiting for? 

If we are waiting for something that we believe we lack, it’s useful to instead be open to waiting on God, who has already supplied the need, though it may not yet have been understood or perceived.
Sadness seemed so appealing at the time because it allowed me to be a victim and blame the world for my problems. I realized, though, that I did want to be happy.

Church and the demonstration of supply 

My branch Church of Christ, Scientist in Rio de Janeiro was dealing with limited supply and had to confront fear, expect good, and obey the inspirations that unfolded through prayer.

Holy joy 

God-sourced joy is constant. There’s not one news report that can get under its skin, not one anxious thought, threatening storm, or terror that can shake it.
While my husband called the police, I stood between the two groups and prayed.

When I see Jesus’ teachings, deeds, and resurrection as based on the divine universal Principle of all being, it gives me hope—the hope that every person can be moved to let the belief that existence is material yield to the understanding of Life as spiritual and eternal.
The profoundly beautiful promise of this Christly oil is that it is here for everyone. It is not reserved for a physical ritual anointing royalty or religious officials. The oil of anointing is plentiful and present every moment to destroy whatever yoke seems to be binding us.
I didn’t want to be lukewarm in my devotion to God. This shifted church attendance for me from a duty to a desire.
