In the Christian Science Bible Lesson

Progress for Africa

Our oneness with infinite, omnipresent Love governs us—not colonialism, injustice, or poverty. Understanding this fundamental relationship to God enables us to prove our present freedom, wherever we may live.

What I couldn’t lose

After being blindsided by a breakup, this author initially felt angry, hurt, and confused, and she wondered where God was. But as she prayed, a more tangible feeling of God’s love turned her thoughts in a new direction.
I found myself letting go of my identity as merely a runner and gaining a clearer sense of my true identity as a spiritual idea of God.
Although our prayers may seem like small contributions in a world full of disagreements and trouble, each sincere prayer, lived, brings more love to our interactions with others, and the blessings ripple out into our communities and the world.
The dividends of recognizing our God-originated identity and worth are immeasurable. We are richly endowed with God’s goodness.

One summer, two healings

It was a great summer, not just because of the fun this author had, but also because of his healings.
I felt God’s love so much that I knew everything was fine, and I stopped crying.

A unique evangelism

I was attracted to what this Christian Scientist was practicing. In a sense, I was drawn by his quiet evangelism.
I was heartbroken and looking for a way to end my life, but something kept saying to me to just trust and believe.

Trials and God’s care

Anytime we can listen to God and focus on spiritual growth and healing instead of giving in to despair, self-justification, or anger, we triumph and go forward.
The deepest peace I’d ever felt settled over me. I knew I was free—and I was. That was the end of those anxious episodes.
We, as individuals, have an opportunity to help neutralize the mental climate of fear through our own insistence on what is spiritually true.
