Reliance rewarded

Many times it seems an uphill battle:
gaining good ground, then slipping down,
discouragement and doubt deterring progress.
But divine Truth is not the fable; hovering hesitation
has no place at the table.
Reliance is rewarded, when the truth about fear—
that it has no clout, no power to overpower God—
returns to our conscious thought
through the forever Christ.
God’s thoughts never cease to be our support.
These angels—Mind’s advocates—
gently guide our steps “o’er the hillside steep.” 1
The reliability of Truth remains; its light shines
like the beautiful rainbow, right during the seeming storm.
Either we allow the dream to become our reality . . . or
we yield to Truth’s dawning
and with an oh-so-grateful heart,
part ways with the shackles of fear
and step out into God’s day . . .
   refreshed,
      renewed,
          restored!
