After procrastinating on a major project, this high school student had only one night to finish it, and everything seemed to be going wrong. That’s when she learned a spiritual lesson that not only helped her with her project but also changed her attitude about procrastination.
Though she was on fire to share Christian Science and its healing effects on her life, this university student was met with skepticism—sometimes even hostility—from people who seemed to have no interest in God or religion. Prayer helped her find both a different perspective on sharing and a new way to share.
Standing before a judge, preparing to audition, this viola player felt nervous, and doubtful about her abilities. But as soon as she turned her thoughts toward God, a major shift took place.

After she gave in to her boyfriend’s repeated pressure to go farther than she was comfortable going, this author was desperate for a way out of the guilt and anger. That’s when what she’d learned in the Christian Science Sunday School came to her rescue.
When bad things happen, what are we supposed to think? And how can we reconcile our faith in God as All and all good with the fact that we still see awful stuff in the world around us? “I’ve never found answers by staring at the bad stuff,” says this author. Her answer? Look toward God instead.
When she ran into a good-looking guy far from home, this author found things moving fast—and she was into it. But right at the moment when they were about to sleep together, something even better happened—something that’s continued to help and bless her even years later.
How did this author go from debilitating stage fright to being able to sing freely in front of an audience? Learning more about Christ Jesus’ teachings proved to be the key.
