Exploring the Bible's healing message

Dr. Mary Metzner Trammell, C.S.B.

In this inspiring and thoughtful chat, Mary ("Trinka") Trammell answers questions about different aspects of the Bible--including a number of questions about the King James Version, which is celebrating its 400th anniversary this year. She includes an example of the Bible's healing power in her own life and explains that one of its messages is the value of persistence in striving to know and understand God through its words. She affirms that even when God seems to be absent, we can trust that He/She is there, and she points to the many times in the Bible when people were up against all kinds of walls but were saved through His care.

Site visitors ask about the images of the Old Testament God and how to get a better perspective on Him, whether the Bible is relevant today, how to find the "inspired Word" of the Bible, and how they can apply it in praying for world peace as well as in their own lives.
