In this chat Mark discusses how this statement by Mary Baker Eddy applies to all of us: “Happiness consists in being and in doing good; only what God gives, and what we give ourselves and others through His tenure, confers happiness: conscious worth satisfies the hungry heart, and nothing else can” (Message to The Mother Church for 1902, p.17). He points out that being conscious of something implies it is already a "done deed," so our worth as God's loved child is already established. We just need to know it and live it. In addition, if we're not feeling worthy, perhaps a focus on self is blinding us to our true nature. He also points out that Christ Jesus' words and works give us the tools to discover how valued, worthy, and useful each one of us is and how we can express this in our daily lives.
