Testimonies of Healing

The healings we publish are verified by people who can vouch for the testifier or who know of the healing. Examples of Christian healing from individuals and families around the world have been published in the Christian Science periodicals for well over a century.

The most recently-published testimonies are at the top.

Chronic Catarrh Healed

A little less than one year ago, after suffering for many years from chronic catarrh of the nose, throat, stomach, and bowels, with the ghastly horrors of indigestion and rheumatism, and having exhausted material means of relief, I was urged by a brother railroad official to investigate Christian Science, something I had never before thought of doing and which was at that time far from my inclination.
In February, 1899, I made the ride from San Francisco to Portland, Ore.

The demand for church

I like to think of each church that grows up in a community as that community's answered prayer for the presence of the saving Christ—the message of God's love for humanity.

Healed by Reading Science and Health

Although Christian Science had been known in our home for five years, I did not feel inclined to study into it until I thought i was my duty to do so, on account of the statement frequently made to my daughter by a member of the Baptist Church, that the devil was in Mrs.

The Hungry Fed

It was spiritual hunger that impelled me to turn to Christian Science.
To show the difference between Christian Science and materia medica I shall tell of an experience that came to me about ten years since, before I was interested in Christian Science, although I had heard of it.
For fifteen years I suffered from nervous prostration, the attacks becoming more and more severe, and accompanied by a complication of ailments until at last I could neither read, write, nor sew, without excruciating pain in my head, neither could I see friends or any member of my family for more than a few minutes at a time nor talk to them.

In the year 1893, after several years of suffering and invalidism, which had baffled the skill of many physicians, my brother, now a Reader in one of the Brooklyn churches, induced me to try Christian Science, and took me to a Christian Scientist in Toronto.
The beauty, grandeur, and power of Christian Science burst upon my darkened sense nine years ago, when, sad and discouraged in mind and sick in body, after years of hopeless invalidism.

Hip Disease Healed

In 1888 I had an attack of typhoid fever.

The Healing of Sin

So great is the benefit received from reading the Christian Science Journal and Sentinel that it is not easy to express it in words.

Help Received in Time of Need

I feel that I should be indeed ungrateful did I not add my testimony to the many helpful experiences appearing each week in our Sentinel, and acknowledge the spiritual quickening and uplifting thought that came to me through the beautiful lines in a recent number, entitled "Satisfied," written by her whom we love to call Mother.

Tobacco Habit Destroyed

When Christian Science was first brought to my notice about three years ago by some American friends who came here to reside, I took it for granted, that I was to make the acquaintance of another—perhaps newer—religious doctrine or creed, of which I knew quite a number.
