TeenConnect

My strong foundation

This teen was supposed to be enjoying a trip through Greece to learn more about the Bible, but instead she wasn’t feeling well. Read on to find out how what she was learning during her travels helped her find healing.
What I’d felt through our prayers had become so much more real to me than the problem ever had been.

How can I stay safe?

Whether you find yourself in a dangerous situation or it seems like your own choices landed you there, God is still with you and protecting you—as this college student found when a stranger tried to assault her.

Finding God again

First I started to panic. Then I started to pray. It came in the form of pleading: “God, if You’re real, get me out of here!”
Fighting was the norm between her and her sister, and this author didn’t like it. Then a dicussion about Christian Science brought to light a new perspective that changed everything.
I felt the urge to turn to God, which was something I hadn’t done since I’d started the semester.
If you feel like your worth depends on what other people think or say about you, you’re not alone. This author felt the same way, until he began exploring more about his identity from a spiritual perspective.

Worried about your future?

It was so clear to me that this was the God-directed path that I stopped worrying and felt grateful for God’s guidance.

What I couldn’t lose

After being blindsided by a breakup, this author initially felt angry, hurt, and confused, and she wondered where God was. But as she prayed, a more tangible feeling of God’s love turned her thoughts in a new direction.

One summer, two healings

It was a great summer, not just because of the fun this author had, but also because of his healings.
The deepest peace I’d ever felt settled over me. I knew I was free—and I was. That was the end of those anxious episodes.
This week’s author shares an experience his friend had in which suicidal thoughts and impulses gave way to a profound feeling of God’s love.
