Trusting

O Weary heart and steps that slowAlong life's pathway come and go,Fear not, the Master trod aloneThe thorn-path leading to a throne.

The Battle Call

Out to the front, ye tried and true warriors!Out to the front at duty's loud call!Out to the front, where the battle is raging!Out to the front, to arouse one and all!

The Daughter of Jairus

What means this radiance falling round,And through the mist whence comes this sound:"O maid! I say to thee, arise"?

The Treasure House

There stands a wondrous Treasure-House,Beside a peace-enfolded sea,Wherein are riches fairer farThan pearls of Ind or Araby.
I SEARCHED long hours for ease from pain,For health and strength to work again,And struggled, too, for ease of mind,A hearty joy in being kind,For love of all that's good and pure,For wealth of thoughts that aye endure,That self might be effaced in me,And all my thoughts for others be,Then quick this promise came, Divine,"All that I have, my son, is thine.

The Tempest

"Be still," dear mortal, tossed and triedAll night by self-inflicted woesUpon life's Galilean sea.

The New Year

Farewell , old year, farewell!Go on thy way, and tellTo high and low,With rhythmic flow,That all is well.

Christian Love

True love of man and woman,The God-inspired and human,Athrob with wakened fiery beatTo smooth the paths of weary feet;Like pulses of the mobile airThou art a life-fount everywhere.

The Awakening

WHAT matters where my body dwellsIf but my thoughts are high?
