The Restoration

Dear Galilee, sweet trysting place,Blest memories of thee arise!There have I seen the Master's face;There heard his voice in glad surprise;

Faith

We Cannot always pierce the mistWhich seems to veil the Father's face; But when our hearts are heaviest,By faith, we can Love's image trace.

The Awakening

Now to hearts of men are stealingThoughts of Truth that are revealingFreedom as man's true estate;Good as pow'r and all-availing,Over evil's claims prevailing;Love and justice, meekness, mercy,Mightier far than greed and hate.
I know that God is Love and Truth and Life, —     Is All-in-all;I know a list'ning ear can always hear      Love's tender call; And when earth's path seems dark to meTruth guides, if I but lift my eyes to see;And if I listen, watch and work and pray,And strive to walk with God from day to day,I cannot fall; no matter where I goLove is before me all the way, I know.

Rejoice!

Rejoice, O troubled heart, rejoice! Know thou that God is near.

Reciprocation

It cannot be that words of cheerI speak to help you on your wayAre vain, since I must brave and clearRemain to hearten you to-day.

God's Man

This mortal man who seems to beIs not the man God made; for heIs perfect, pure, unfallen, free,And in God's image made.

"I will lift up mine eyes"

Lift up your eyes; behold and see,A glorious day is breaking; The light is clear.

My Home

Around me lay the gold and silver sand.

Trust

Just put your hand in His, and say,Dear Father, take command! He'll guide thy craft, tho' storm it may,And bring thee safe to land.

Like Paul

When man first sees Truth's lightning flame,He hangs his head in anguished shame;Until, low voiced, he hears his nameCalled lovingly, "I am the sameThat yesterday and yesteryearGave to all men a message clear,—'Come unto me,' sin-tossed and worn,Of joy and usefulness though shorn,I'll make of you, by following me,A man new-born, upright, and free!"
