Weaving

Some little measure of the web of lifeIs ours to weave with colors passing fair;We take the threads into our willing handsAnd scan the pattern clear before us there.

The Dawn of Truth

The way seemed dark; I could not seeThe light that on my pathway shone,For fear and doubt encompassed me:To mortal sense I walked alone.

Trust

When clouds of sense seem dark and drear,And error fain my sight would dim,I turn to God and know no fear,Since I have learned to trust in Him.

God's Perfect Day

Oh , fill our hearts with thoughts of TheeThat we may know, where'er we be,That God is Love, and come what may,Each day is God's own perfect day.

My Prayer

To be content with God's unfolding plan; to hope, to trust, and some day understand: nor doubt, nor fear, the while it seems obscure, His willingness to guide and guard and reassure—

Simplicity

How simple are the ways of love,A smile, a kindly word, a touch;Love speaks through us in simple ways;We do not need to know so much.

True Solitude

The world outside, with flare and trumpet calling,I do not hear; The voice of garish life, on closed ears falling,No longer dear,Dies in this solitude; And deepest gratitudeFor God's infinitudeHas vanquished fear.

Christmas

Star-gleam and angel chorusAt midnight's awesome hour,Self hushed and spirit wakingTo welcome heaven's dower—So learned the humble shepherdsOf Truth's eternal power; So we may find and prove itA stronghold and a tower.
