The Voice

Across life's turbulent and angry seaA voice is carried on love's wings to me;In accents penetrating inmost soulIt tells of joy and peace and holy things,Of cruel thongs released and freedom won—The voice of Truth.

From a Far Country

Whether you sail a foam-swept, lifting sea,Or broad wings lift you out along the air,Or thought runs troubled through a long, dark night,Remember this—that God is everywhere:

The demand for church

I like to think of each church that grows up in a community as that community's answered prayer for the presence of the saving Christ—the message of God's love for humanity.

Awaken Me

Dear Father-Mother God,My prayer has changed.

Prayer

O LORD, may I, a worker, still displayThat order which is born of inward peace,Putting the one thing needful always first.

The Son of God

In the beginning God made all things good,And all the universe was filled with light,The light of Love, forever infinite! And what was man in this great universe,The man that God is mindful of?

Demonstration

Who in frail words can tell the unmeasured joyWhich comes to him who, having humbly trodThe narrow way that leads to life in God,Freeing the gold from dross and base alloy,Finds some glad day the gift for all who seek—The Father's everlasting arms of loveTenderly guiding, lifting thought above,Healing the proud, encouraging the meek!Such pilgrim, tempted with a sense of fear,Sickness, or sin, or seeing another so,Knowing God's allness, bids the intruder go,Declaring His the only presence here.

Our Leader

Your midnight skies were wet with many a tear,Your sun, your moon, your very stars were gone; This was the hour most potent, though most drear,For even then the rhythms of the dawnWere pulsing through the dark, until there cameAcross your skies of grief a vibrant flame.

My Prayer

O Father-Mother , hear my prayerFor grace to do Thy will.
