I Cannot Fear

I cannot fear to walk with GodAlong life's way.

Within Thy Gate

More of Thee, my God, my Mind,Help me with Thy Christ to find.

Forgive Thou me my blind stupidityThat whilst I plead for bread I give but stone.

When , from the tomb, loved Lazarus came forth,The power of Life to conquer death to show,Then spake the Lord, with calm simplicity,These words of love: "Loose him, and let him go.
One day I swept the doorstone of my heartAnd fanned the fire on its hearth to flame;With patient steps the oaken table spread,And laid thereon the bread my hands had made.
