Sanctuary

Let me pause here beside this open doorWhile gratitude floods swiftly through my heart:This is the little room that welcomed her,This the still place in which her thoughts found strength—A humble spot, a tiny "closet"—whereThat one whose heart went out to all mankindCould ponder God's dear love and tender care.
What time I am afraid,I need to trust Thee more;I need to know that LoveHas ample good in store.

Communion

I shall commune with God,And lay aside tonightEarth's troubles, worries, sorrows, fears,And turn my heart to light.

Protection

Divine Mind guides me day by day,In all I do, in all I say;Intelligence divine is mine,Truth is my way.

Awakening

I awake from dreams of sense,Wake with dawning in my eyes,As in thought the vision breaks—Man is never one who dies,Compassed in a meager span,But a living, changeless ray,Perfect, born of Spirit's will,Shining in eternal day.

Eucharist
