Our Human Concept

Our human concept of this earthborn lifeIs so intrenched within our every thought,So fortified by error's daily strife,So carelessly and yet so deeply fraughtWith trivial things that only turn our praiseAway from truth and love and liberty,We do not see the lighted lamp of Love,We do not feel the urge of Spirit's claim,We have not learned the righteous way to proveThe unreality of mortal aim.

See Daniel Stand!

Must I too, not turn and face the lionsAs Daniel does?

God Is Love

Prayers

How do you pray, my brother?
"Thy will be done.

That Shunammite

"Is it well with thee?

Love Will Not Forget

Within the shadowed wilderness of doubtWe watch the distant light that leads us out,And as we follow in Truth's shining way,We feast on hidden manna each new day.

"The Lord shall rise"

The Lord shall rise as at Mount Perazim,That nations may behold His mighty power; The plowman plows his furrows deep and trimBefore the seed is sown which yields the flour; Then must the wheat be ground, the chaff destroyed,Before the flour is kneaded into bread.

Prayer

Father, guide me through this day,Keep my thoughts the upward way.
