Spiritual Building

Christian Scientists are, or should be, spiritual builders.

A Reminder

The Christian Science church and its plan of government was revealed to our Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, and is set forth in the Manual of The Mother Church.
To those who have been distressed by unemployment or unsatisfactory employment, Christian Science offers the same heartening assurance and the same assistance that it brings to those who are ill.

Glorifying God

The prophet Jeremiah, speaking in the name of God, said, "Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, neither let the mighty man glory in his might, let not the rich man glory in his riches: but let him that glorieth glory in this, that he understandeth and knoweth me, that I am the Lord which exercise lovingkindness, judgment, and righteousness, in the earth: for in these things I delight, saith the Lord.

Heaven at Hand

Two women who were suffering from the same disease went together to a Christian Science practitioner.
In no single direction are the character and the destiny of the individual more positively determined than in the impulse and purpose of his giving.

"The rule of Life"

The mathematician in order to achieve exactness does not merely contemplate arithmetical rules or vaguely anticipate the acceptance of them in some future Utopian state.

Unfailing Resources

The words of Mary Baker Eddy on page 60 of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," lines 29 to 31, have been reassuring to many who have found themselves entertaining a sense of limitation.

"Thy son liveth"

THE account of the healing of the nobleman's son, in the fourth chapter of John, touches on a point of much interest and importance in the practice of Christian Science.

Preparing the Way

STUDENTS of the gospels are familiar with the incident in the ministry of Christ Jesus when, at Jacob's well, he encountered the woman of Samaria.

Scientific Insistence

Prayer as taught by Christ Jesus, and as understood in Christian Science, is by no means a weak or faltering procedure.

Days and Years

They who live in the northern hemisphere have recently experienced the passing of the shortest day in the calendar year, the day in which the least time elapses between sunrise and sunset.
