The
significance and value of Christ Jesus' commandment, "Love your enemies," have been greatly clarified for a multitude of Christians, and others not previously Christians, by Christian Science.
There
is undoubtedly increasing recognition among physicians and others who have not studied Christian Science, but whose views have been influenced in some measure by its practice, of the important role of thought in relation to disease.
The
frequently quoted statement of Christ Jesus, "Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect," is generally interpreted as a command to strive for the attainment of perfection because God, the creative Principle of man, is even now perfect.
