Another link in the chain of Christian Science churches which have attracted attention by their simplicity and beauty, will be added tomorrow morning [April 23] when First Church of Christ, Scientist, holds initial services in its new edifice in Park avenue, near Francis lane, Walnut Hills.
[The following resolution, which was adopted at a meeting of representatives of the branch churches in Greater New York, held April 14, is indicative of the spirit of unity and brotherliness which prevails in the New York field, and augurs well for the growth of our cause there.
Ground has been broken for the erection of the new church building for First Church of Christ, Scientist, on the northeast corner of Ninth and Bluff streets.
The members of First Church of Christ, Scientist, dedicated their church building, Fifth street and D avenue, during the regular Sunday night service last evening [Jan.
Tomorrow
morning [March 12] at eleven o'clock First Church of Christ, Scientist, will hold the first service in its own edifice, having acquired by purchase the property of the First Baptist church on South Fullerton avenue, near Bloomfield avenue.
The finishing touches are being placed on the interior of the new Christian Science church building at Allegan and Walnut streets, and it is planned to hold the first service in the new edifice on Sunday, March 5, or March 12 at the latest.
