Mountain Climbing

Every lover of mountain climbing knows the joy of ascending a blazed trail as it winds its way up through the silence of a soft-carpeted pine forest and out upon windy, unsheltered ledges of rocks and boulders, or as frequently happens, across treacherous bogs and slippery undergrowth near the course of a brook.

"Having done all, to stand"

As an argument against absolute reliance on Christian Science healing, sometimes cases are cited where a sufferer has turned to Truth without apparent benefit; and the question is raised if it would not be wiser in certain instances to utilize material remedies as an aid in effecting a cure.

"The son of David"

When Christian Science first awakens thought to the healing power of Truth, and we realize that God, divine Love, is ever present and all powerful, and that this truth needs to be demonstrated in order to experience the healing, there is apt to come the discovery that our "old things" must pass away; that the love we have hitherto cherished is on a material basis, while the demand of Science is for purely spiritual affection.
