In the issue of the State Journal for Jan.
Much passes under the name of Christian Science which is diametrically opposed to it, and I must again repeat that hypnotism, mesmerism, mental suggestion, and anything which can be classed under the name of psycho-therapeutics has no connection whatever with Christian Science, and is, we are convinced, highly injurious to health and character.
Christian Science is not based upon the human mind as a source of healing, but it employs the method taught by Jesus, who showed that God, the divine Mind, is the healer of both sin and sickness.

In your editorial of recent date, entitled "Mind Over Matter," you pay one of the greatest tributes to the perfect faith of Christian Scientists it has ever been my pleasure to read.
This paper is neither an advocate of nor an apologist for Christian Science, but we cannot refrain from protesting against any medical legislation in this state, the effect of which would be to prohibit Christian Science practice.
Your note on the Christian Science publishing house in the current number of Truth should be interesting to those who are capable of understanding what it means.
