Dyslexia healed

Years after I finished school, my mom showed me a note she’d kept all that time to remind her of a healing I’d had through prayer in Christian Science.

It was a tattered parent-teacher report, in which my second-grade teacher had written that I was a happy and obedient child but would always be a mediocre student. I was the slowest reader in the class.

I’d continued to be the slowest as the years went on. I had trouble seeing words and letters because they appeared to move. Lowercase b’s and d’s were especially bad; they flipped back and forth all the time.
