Wounded hand quickly healed

In First John 4:16 we read, “And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.” In addition to these ideas, an example from the Gospel of John has also inspired me to tell about a healing experience I had. In John 9, Jesus and his disciples encountered a man blind from birth, and the disciples asked the Master who had sinned—the blind man or his parents. Jesus replied, “Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him.” To me, this says that we can see everything that happens to us as an opportunity to express God’s glory and witness His power.
I thank God for the teachings of Christian Science. Without them, the experience I am about to relate would have been very different.
I live in Matanzas, Cuba, and I go into town every day to see if the ration of bread that the government gives us is available. On one such trip I saw a broken toilet bowl along the wayside. I noticed it contained water, a potential breeding ground for mosquitoes. I got off my bike and picked up the bowl to smash it, but immediately felt a very sharp pain in my left hand. When I looked at my hand, I saw a deep cut.
