The facts of light
Christ Jesus told us,
“I am the light of the world.”John 8:12
Jesus dealt in facts.
With light, all things grow
from seed warmed in soil
to branches
reaching heavenward.
Life is light,
and Christ’s light
revealed eternal life—
God as Life,
expressed in man.
So, you know,
when Jesus said,
“You are the light of the world,”Matthew 5:14, Common English Bible
he dealt in fact.
You are reflected power,
Life’s reflection—
shining forth
the grace and love
that show God’s
goodness,
alive and blooming,
here and now.
