Christ Jesus
If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed.
Continue is translated from the Greek verb menō. Also rendered dwell, abide, and remain (see examples in 14:10, 17; 15:11; I John 2:24; 4:12–16), it occurs over a hundred times in the New Testament to convey steadfast, unwavering commitment. Christ Jesus is urging his followers to be lifelong students of his teachings.
