Prayer eliminates pain
For the past year, I’ve been deepening my study of Christian Science. The chapter “Christian Science Practice” in Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy has been especially helpful in my work as a Christian Science nurse.
During one shift in a Christian Science nursing facility a little over a year ago, I began to feel pain in one of my knees, causing me to limp. The pain became acute whenever I needed to squat in order to raise a patient’s bed.
I began praying, silently affirming that there could be no interruption of the good that is always unfolding from God to His creation, embracing everyone, including me. The pain grew worse, so I quieted my thought and just listened for inspiration on what I needed to know and do.
