Truth heals stomach pain
There’s a common expression used to indicate that something is an undoubted fact, an undeniable truth. The British version is “No ifs or buts.”
I’ve learned through studying Christian Science that God is All-in-all and that there
are no ifs or buts about that; God, Spirit, is the one and only cause and power. That’s the truth. In the Gospel of John, Jesus tells us, “Ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free” (8:32).
Any doubts about God’s allness that come to us as “ifs” or “buts” are what Mary Baker Eddy refers to as animal magnetism, a supposed power that would oppose God. They appear to be our own thinking, but in reality, because we are the expression of infinite Truth, God, they never can be. Because God is Truth, we can always rely on Him, the one and only Father. He cares for us all lovingly, completely, and reliably.
