Ankle injury gone
In December of 2022 I traveled to Canada to spend time with my family over the Christmas holidays. One night just before retiring, I missed the bottom three steps on the stairs going down to the basement and fell, turning my ankle. It was painful to walk as I hobbled to my bed. I prayed during the night and was hoping the ankle would be fine in the morning, but the next day it was still hurting, and I was still limping.
It was natural for me to turn to God for help, as I have had healings of many challenges through prayer in Christian Science—of social drinking, flu symptoms, colds, a bladder cyst, hemorrhoids, relationship problems, a pinched nerve, and painful restricted movement, to name a few. I called a Christian Science practitioner to pray for me.
He shared this passage from Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy: “Accidents are unknown to God, or immortal Mind, and we must leave the mortal basis of belief and unite with the one Mind, in order to change the notion of chance to the proper sense of God’s unerring direction and thus bring out harmony.
