Finding restoration and refreshment in God
Originally published in Portuguese
A few years ago, I was experiencing extreme fatigue, pain in the joints of my fingers, and difficulty moving my arms.
I got in touch with a Christian Science practitioner, who agreed to pray for me. We acknowledged the presence of Christ—God’s message of love to humanity—as the only reality. I became aware that God, divine Life and Truth, was greater than the problem. As the Bible assures us, “I am the Lord, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed” (Malachi 3:6).
The practitioner and I prayed together for months. I began to think that the healing was taking a long time. However, the practitioner always had an inspiring answer, once sharing this from Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy: “. . . Mind measures time according to the good that is unfolded” (p. 584). She emphasized that there was an awakening going on in my consciousness and that good was in action as I was realizing my oneness with God, divine Love.
