Today I see in a brand new way
Today I will wrestle the bleak past away
Like Jacob who feared the payoff of sin
And discovered instead the kingdom within
Today is the moment and this is the place
Where I can see God while beholding your face
Today’s the beginning but also the end
For today’s not a sunrise
But a thought you can send
To all weary wrestlers
With ears still to hear
My dear tired strivers
Your victory is near.
