No more chest pains
A few years ago I suddenly began to feel pain in my chest. At first I thought the pain was just temporary, but then it started happening more regularly.
A friend who knew about these pains was fearful that I might pass on suddenly, and she considered staying away from me out of fear that I would pass on in her presence. She also stressed that I should go to a doctor. But as a student of Christian Science, I knew I could rely on God for healing. I had been taught in the Christian Science Sunday School that I could rely on God, and I knew God was with me every hour.
I began to address the issue in prayer, declaring that this pain was an erroneous belief, not the truth of being. I knew that I am a perfect child of God, that God is the only creator and all good, and that anything unlike good, such as pain, is an error because not from God. I continued reading the Bible Lesson found in the Christian Science Quarterly, something I do each day, and I also read articles and testimonies of healing in the Christian Science periodicals. This study strengthened me and gave me more confidence that God is All-in-all.
