Praying for the world
[Karen Neff, “Reluctant to pray for the world? Roll that ‘stone’ away.” Sentinel, July 1, 2019]
So often I start to pray for a world situation and get distracted by how intractable it seems or by the plethora of problems. The writer’s prayerful suggestions make it easy to go from feeling overwhelmed to the acknowledgment of God’s care for all His children.

Immediately drew me in
[Ned Odegaard, “What problem are we trying to solve?” Sentinel, July 1, 2019]
This title is excellent and immediately drew me in. The article points out clearly that in Christian Science treatment we are always addressing thought, not some material symptom. And I really liked how the article ended by noting that this method of addressing and healing thought had been used by Christ Jesus, by Mary Baker Eddy, and by the author—bringing it into current times.
