I love Susan Booth Mack Snipes’s article, “Agenda-free prayer” in the May 13, 2019, Sentinel. She says, “God is the one perfect cause and I am God’s perfect effect.” There are not two. There is just God and His manifestation. I also love the fact she brought out that we should not be “mostly talking to God” but instead listening to Him. “God doesn’t need our input in order to care for and comfort us.” We need to be quiet and listen. This moves thought upward to our Maker. God is all-knowing, and we are God’s complete manifestation. As adapted from Hymn No. 9: God knows the answers that we need and sends them to our side “To comfort, guard and guide” (Violet Hay, Christian Science Hymnal).
