Trust in the divine law of Love
Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
The foregoing verse has been a mainstay through most of my life, but in recent years it has gained new meaning for me. Through my study and practice of Christian Science, I have learned that there is a divine law, God’s law, that governs every one of us. It is ever-present, ever-active, all-powerful divine Love, to which we can all turn for guidance, not only in times of crisis, but every day. The phrases “with all thine heart” and “in all thy ways” have come to mean for me that we should not blindly follow what may commonly be accepted as authority, but instead turn and listen to God, and follow His divine law, the law of Love—letting that define our thoughts and actions appropriately.
