Read many times
Thanks so much for printing Shelly Richardson’s interview with Stephanie Simon and her mother, Maria Camaliche–Simon (“Views of womanhood: strength and fortitude,” Sentinel, March 5, 2018). I have read it many times because of Stephanie’s clear explanation of how she applies Christian Science simply and practically in her daily life. And I am also inspired by Maria’s selfless prayers for her daughter.
Both women are wonderful examples of true womanhood!

Shifting view
[Margaret Rogers, “Protest and progress,” Sentinel, February 26, 2018]
This is a beautiful editorial, shifting our view on the nature of protests. Last year when there were so many protests, I looked up the word in Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy and found the passage about Jesus’ deep, conscientious protests (see p. 12). I knew that this was a form of protest that brought results in a Christlike way. I’m grateful for Christ Jesus’ example and for Mary Baker Eddy’s description, which lifts protest into prayer and brings healing.
