From the readers

I just finished reading the August 14, 2017, Sentinel, and what an inspiring issue it is. “A remarkable realization” by David Winder was truly a remarkable experience, and I am so grateful to him for sharing it. And the editorial by Annu Matthai, “Putting God’s law into practice—honestly and effectively,” has a sentence that really hit home to me. “God, as Love itself, would not demand of anyone what he or she is incapable of doing.” What a powerful, inspiring, and comforting thought that is. We are all capable!

One day I was praying to God for help with a painful experience I was going through. After reading the Christian Science Bible Lesson that morning, I turned to the August 7, 2017, Sentinel to read, and Audrey Sentinella’s wonderful article, “ ‘Life is not dog-shaped!’ ” was next. Toward the end of the article she writes, “What can be closer to God than His own image, the outcome of His being?” This so resonated with me. What can be closer to God than His own image and likeness—that was me! In a few hours I had my healing. I am grateful for God’s healing works found in the Bible Lesson and Mary Baker Eddy’s periodicals. Thank you to Audrey.
