Does God grow old?
That is a question I often ask myself, because I’ve learned through my study of Christian Science that whatever is true of God is also true of man. Since man is the image and likeness of God, as the first chapter of Genesis tells us, a right understanding of God is essential to a right understanding of man.
From all we read in the Scriptures, God, who is Spirit, is infinite and immortal, without beginning or end. He is often referred to as “everlasting.” First Timothy declares, “Now unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, be honour and glory for ever and ever” (1:17).
