Fear conquered, facial growth healed
One morning as I was washing my face I noticed a red bump on the edge of my right eyebrow, and I then went about the business of the day, not giving it any more thought.
The next morning, I was surprised to find that the bump was now larger and very inflamed. I knew I needed to pray about this situation and not react to the erroneous picture it presented. I started praying with the idea that there is only one action: the harmonious action of God, good.
This statement by Mary Baker Eddy came to my thought: “There is no death, no inaction, diseased action, overaction, nor reaction” (Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, pp. 427–428). The appearance of something counter to God’s harmonious action was a lie, and I didn’t have to react to something untrue.
