Sisters healed
My sister became ill while visiting her son in another country. He was very concerned for his mother and took her to see a physician, who advised that she should visit a doctor when she got home. It appeared to be a severe problem of vertigo.
I received a call from my sister with a request that I pray for her. She knew about the healings our family had experienced from our growing understanding of God’s love for all His children, through our study and practice of Christian Science.
I immediately began knowing the truth about my sister—that she was the perfect idea of God and that her perfect selfhood could not be invaded. I also looked up and prayed with truths from the Bible and the Christian Science textbook, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy. I worked with concepts such as the perfection of God and man, and the truth that “there is no power apart from God” (Science and Health, p. 228).
