Thank you to Abraham McLaughlin for his beautiful article “Big prayers plug us in to progress” [June 2, 2014, Sentinel]. It illustrates the grand scope of Christian Science and how far-reaching our prayers can be—need to be.
If our prayers pass the test of loving our neighbors and not just ourselves, we are practicing the Christianity of Christian Science. “Christianity” cannot be separated from the “Science” of the Christ and still bless humanity as Jesus promised that the Comforter would do. We cannot continue to grow in our understanding of the effectiveness of divine Love, the Principle of divine Science, until we strive to use it to its fuller capacity in blessing our neighbors. I need constant clear reminders of this from articles like this one.
