My first healing
On one particular day, after first arriving in this country as a young woman, I went to the beach. I loved the ocean. I was not wise enough to protect myself from the sun and returned home with a very severe sunburn. At first I could not feel anything. I was pretty much numb. After I showered, it was very painful.
At that time I was not yet a student of Christian Science. My family asked me what I would like to do. I had observed how deeply they lived and loved Christian Science. And I answered that I had seen so many healings already with the family, so I would find out about Christian Science healing for myself. I wanted to know what results I would gain.
I picked up a Sentinel that I saw in the house, and right there in it was a testimony about a man who had been badly burned at his place of work. He prayed and was healed. I read the testimony over and over until I fell asleep.
