Symptoms of lyme disease healed

During the summer before my junior year of high school, I was at a local beach with my family when I overheard two women talking about Lyme disease. Some of the things that they were discussing were very scary, and I recall a comment about the ailment being difficult to cure through material means. The women also expressed concern that the disease could recur even after treatment.

While I probably forgot about the conversation after we went home, it may have been lingering in my thought. And during the next week, symptoms consistent with Lyme disease began to appear on my body. I was really scared. I think I hadn’t watched what thoughts I was taking in, mulling over the symptoms I’d heard discussed, rather than shutting them out.

I had grown up relying on Christian Science for healing and had experienced a number of healings at that point, including flu, chicken pox, hypothermia, and other conditions. I was just starting to study Christian Science for myself, and the healings that I had experienced showed me that Christian Science heals. I felt confident in turning to Christian Science for healing in this case, too. My parents encouraged me to call a Christian Science practitioner to receive prayerful treatment, which I did.
